Romans 8

Im very excited to have become affected by Romans 8:
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin & death.

WOW! We have been set free from the law of sin & death by the LAW of the Spirit of  life through Christ Jesus ( Jesus the Son of God emphasized the anointed one). We have exchanged the LAW of death for the LAW of  life!

John.G. Lake would go into areas affected by T.B against Doctors orders not to do so. After a while the medical community were astounded that he was in fact not affected by the air-born virus. He was asked how is this possible. So he showed them under a microscope, he would declare over his hands..the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin & death..he would then have a something containing the dreaded disease placed on his hands & as he spoke the word & placed his hands under the microscope the organism would die.

The Word of God works. The more we can make a habit of thinking & speaking the Word, the more we believe, the more we think on His Word, the more we say it etc. The opposite is also true.

There is a great promise for all of us in Phillipians 4, think on whatever is light lovely & pure...& the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will be ours.

Admitedly its easier said than done. what this requires is a commitment to take every thought captive to Christ & replace every evil thought with scripture..love thinks no evil..we have to love others not with just our actions but our thought life as well...quite a toughy!

This is what God is busy teaching me right  now.

Kick a$$. Testify

Ja I know the heading is a LITTLE bit naughty. But then if I was well behaved this wouldn't be my blog. JESUS LOVES YOU!!

OK. So we've all heard that a million times..and for some its probably become a cheesy one-liner. The same "Christians" chanting HELL at gay pride parades (its usually the adulterous, porn watching, fornicating types) who are the first to show up brandishing signs to "help" people come to know the "truth" . I think its so easy to get caught up in good works & self-righteousness. Yes its true sin MINUS Jesus = HELL.BUT I dont know about you, but I tend to put sin into categories. Like THAT is TERRIBLE, but THIS that Im doing is sort of Ok? Right??Nope. Sin IS sin. God is GOD. His ways are righteousness & justice. No middle ground there. IS it just me? I need Jesus everyday. I NEED the FINISHED atoning work of the cross in my life everyday. The only way to become socially relevant life changing people, is to accept grace. Grace sets us free. Grace turns you around & puts you on your feet. Love & forgiveness goes a long way to heal. Now think of it this way. PERFECT love & forgiveness. To the extent that you have the RIGHT to stand in the very throne room before Father GOD.Not as myself approaching the throne of course, Ive fallen short. BUT. JESUS WAS PERFECT. And HE is my ADVOCATE . My representation before the Father. So when you pray you can know that in the spirit you are standing in the very presence of God in His throne room. Father doesnt see me Hes sees the perfect Holy Blood of Jesus. Holy. Perfect. Sanctified.
YAY. WHOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

Jesus LOVES YOU..thats right. Just the way you are. Not because of what you have done. But because of who HE IS.
He came to save us. Jesus LOVES you. Those three words are more powerful than a heaping spoonful of regret & hatefully, hastily spat out "YOU ARE GOING TO HELL"(dont get me wrong Jesus spoke about hell all the time, He just never did it in a humiliating cruel way to look good at anothers expense). If every christian could faithfully, respectfully love & serve one other person the hands & feet of Jesus would be everywhere. People would GET IT.
Just think a socially relevent network that preached the gospel & if neccessary used words..now THATS a dream..excited?. Me too.

FIRE UNITED : SUCKY STUFF & OTHER STUFF THAT HAPPENS ON EARTH...

One day about a year ago I was In a really bad place & I couldnt see how I could continue I figured I had two options 1: kill myself. 2: Renounce Christ. being the 'brave' person that I am I went for option 2. As I was about to put it in writing ( I was serious!!) the Holy Spirit spoke up loudly on the inside of me 'OPEN YOUR BIBLE'
being the extremely mature person that I am like a three year old I said 'I DONT WANT TO'.AGAIN.OPEN YOUR BIBLE!!!. Me:NO!!.& AGAIN. OPEN.YOUR.BIBLE. NOW....Trust me you dont want the Holy Spirit to shout at you unless you just enjoy feeling like a giant sucky loser. I opened my Bible on Hebrews 12 v 7:If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons, for what son is there that isnt chastened?
But if you are without chastening,` of which all of have become partakers, then you are illegitimate & not sons .
Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us , & we paid them respect. Shall we not readily be in subjection to the Father of Spirits and live?
For they indeed for a few days chastened ( to correct, rebuke, discipline) us as seemed best to them , but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.
Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful, nevertheless, afterwards it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
vs 12: Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, & the feeble knees, & make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather healed.
Pursue peace with all people & holiness without NO ONE WILL SEE THE LORD.
Looking carefully lest anyone FALL SHORT OF THE GRACE OF GOD. Lest any root of bitterness springing up & cause trouble, & by this many become defiled.

If you feel like youre being picked on by God & youre anger is on the verge of becoming bitterness make it right now. Like I said sucky stuff happens on earth.Please dont misunderstand me. Im not saying that if you are hurting & angry that you will not see the Lord or falling short of His grace (or I better get used to enjoying a fiery hot climate..marshmallows anyone? I would be finished if that were the case..) the point im making is that anger can become bitterness to the extent that its possible to completely & WILLFULLY turn away from the Lord Jesus..& there's no going back after that. Let me assure you that the joy & peace that you can enjoy through,  trials in-spite of what you re facing is beyond comprehension. BUT with God ALL things are possible. Let me put things into perspective, keeps your eyes & attitude firmly fixed on Jesus NOT on your circumstances & He will restore to you what was lost. the longer you kick & scream, ask 'why me?' & become angry the longer it will take to receive victory. The battle IS the Lords, whether you concede to it or not. He will have HIS WILL in your life. Whether its convenient or not isnt relevant. Its producing righteousness thats important to God. Its being a servant BEFORE being exalted. Its being the last in order to be first. Its dying in order to live . Its becoming a fool that you might gain wisdom. Its becoming poor that you might become rich. sound familiar? OH..you mean when the Word says that we become more like Christ, God was serious..I thought it was just a catch phrase , to sound 'deep'. wake -up. smell the coffee. Jesus NEEDS you to be His hands & feet. Jesus LOVES YOU. Now AWAKE oh sleeper, arise & shine for the LIGHT has come.

Its simple W.W.J.D?
He's to busy being a DOER of the Word & not a hearer only,  to ask THAT question.
Sounds harsh? Try a wooden cross on for size. Your flesh will 'love' it.

FIRE UNITED : TAKE UP YOUR CROSS

LUKE 14 VS 27: NKJV
CHRIST JESUS speaking:And whosoever does not bear his cross & follow Me cannot be My disciple.
For which of you intending to build a tower, does not first sit down & count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it-lest, after he has laid the foundation, & is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying: this man began to build & was not able to finish.
Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first & consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, whilst the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation & asks for the conditions of peace.

So likewise,whosoever of you does forsake ALL that he has CANNOT be My disciple.

I know how harsh this all sounds. But remember what I had to say about taking a STAND. God is able to make all grace abound to you through Christ. When you are weak He is strong. We have to remember that we are here for a short time & all that we have ( & havent!!!) done will be put through the fire. The reason we have trials is to be disciplined & refined ( Hebrews 12). Our earthly dad loves us by instructing us in conduct & discipline, how much more so will our Righteous Holy Majestic Indescribable Father God.

All Honour Power & Glory Belong to Christ Jesus the author & finisher of our faith. Put your trust in Him. He IS faithful. Never changing. He WILL complete the good work in you that was started.

FIRE UNITED: TAKE A STAND

What is real victory?? Is it the ultimate triumph? Is it something more perhaps? Such as the ability to stand & having done all to stand continuing to stand despite adverse circumstances. That in itself can indeed be victory.

There will be times in life when nothing else can be done, other than to wait on the Lord for His perfect will & timing. The frustration, anger & often bitter disappointment can almost cause you to crack under the severe strain.Thoughts such as will I make it to the end or should I just quit? Do I have what it takes to serve God, should I tell God that I made a mistake when I chose Jesus & dont have what it takes to follow Him? Life can be become so hard that life doesnt seem worth it anymore, everything fades gray & there's just nothing left. Anyone whose faced abuse, addiction, financial attack, or an illness will have some idea as to what this dark & painful place feels like.Its a very lonely place to be. Christian brothers & sisters who have no idea as to what you are facing offer 'pat' answers like a cheap plaster on a gaping wound, the well meant words only serves to worsen the intensity of the pain & loneliness.

The worst part of this painful refining process is that it seems God had forgotten you completely, you cant hear Him & if He is listening it sure doesnt seem like it. & now for the hardest part..In this place of desolation, uncertainty & pain God is the only One you can turn to..& yet..you cant talk to Him because you are bursting with hot painful tears inside & out.ANGRY.Angry at yourself for not being able to fix it. Angry at God for His seeming indifference to your situation. Angry at the world for not being able to understand.

Now what. You DONT have other options. You have to continue to stand no matter the cost. We are on earth for a short time. You are being refined. Through this process God is breathing a character with faith, patience & obedience in you. Ask for an extra portion of grace that you may finish what He has started in you. He does hear you but He wants to see a steadfast, obedient heart. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Thats the truth.
